Our History
Sterling Care Homes Ltd founded in 1989 specialises in care home services for the elderly. The company has been under new ownership and management since December 2008.
Sterling Care Homes Ltd provides both residential and nursing care under one roof. This has advantages both for the service users and the business in that should the service users needs increase from residential to nursing status, the service user does not require to move from the home for their needs to be met. Additionally it allowed couples with varying care needs to live together. It is also beneficial to the service user as they are spared from the trauma of adjusting to a new environment and amongst new personnel. The director has always believed in ‘one stop care’, and that care should go to the service users instead of them moving around according to their care needs. Our philosophy of care has always been forward thinking and definitely with the best interest in heart for the service users, so that they can live a comfortable, independent, and happy lifestyle. Sterling Care Homes Ltd’s belief and passion succeeded because now all provisions for elderly care are called Care Homes, where residential and nursing service users can live within the same roof. The Care Commission brought out these standards six years ago and now this is the model of care.
Sterling Care Homes Ltd believe in leading by example, through this model of care we hope to raise the minimum standard of care provided in Scotland.
