CEO Named Businesswoman of the Year

Sterling Care Homes CEO, Arti Poddar, has won the accolade of Businesswoman of the Year at The Scottish Asian Business Awards held this evening in Glasgow’s Thistle Hotel.
The Awards, which have been celebrated annually since 2006 recognise Scotland’s top Asian achievers and cover every aspect of business life.
Already a winner of Young Achiever of the Year at the first Scottish Asian Business Awards and more recently Female Business Person of the Year 2010 at the Scottish Ethnic Awards.
Arti Poddar said: “To be recognised as a successful businesswoman by the Asian community in Scotland is a signal honour and I aim to continue to do my utmost to prove I am a worthy winner.
“There are lots of business opportunities out there, even in a difficult market and my hope is that more and more young Asian and ethnic minority women take up the challenge of starting-up and developing successful businesses.”
